Re-released for Vans’ 50th anniversary, the Salman Agah pro shoe has been given a potent purple hairy suede look for the collaboration with Pop Trading Company. Bringing an unexpected aesthetic to the signature shoe, the thick marshmallow outsole continues across the toe cap and has a lightly textured finish. Giving the hairy texture centre stage, the uppers have minimal fuss with subtle double line white top stitching where necessary. Embroidered onto the heel, subtle ‘Pop’ lettering has been stitched in rich purple thread, which hides within the fabric. The tongue contrasts to the rest of the design, coloured in black and made from a satin finish textile, a large ‘Vans Agah’ woven label shows a blue and red circle with an illustration of a white elephant layered on top, which adds additional colour to the overall look. Supportive cushioning has been given to the edge of the ankle, and UltraCush tech runs throughout the heel, black cotton laces allow you to securely fasten the shoes. Duracap reinforcement has been added to the white outsole and a brown waffle tread design supplies premium grip. Each pair is presented within a branded translucent drawstring shoe bag with a printed Pop Trading Company logo.
Originally released in 1994, the original Salman Agah model represents the future of skateboarding through a specialised design - made especially for the sport - not to be falsely used for other recreations. Founded by Peter Kolks and Ric van Rest whose eye for premium streetwear clothing has been translated effortlessly into skate inspired apparel, Pop Trading Company is based in Amsterdam and has collaborated with footwear legends Vans for an exclusive capsule range of three new shoe styles.
